last night as i put up my feet on the couch in my verandah to live my daily moment of victory, it was different!
This is a ritual I indulge myself in regularly. My verandah overlooks the busiest flyover in the city. I see people, cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, cycles and sometimes the odd cart as well speeding away to their destinations. While, I seem to have arrived at mine already. This is my moment of victory. In my own make-believe world, this is my own destination in life, from where I can sit back and laugh at the maddness that exists all around.

Sounds rather pompous,eh!

That brings me to ponder upon this oft used accusation against me - of being a show off and a loud mouth! Well, I guess I am and I am that ways quiet unabashedly and unapologetically.
I see no harm in shedding the niceties more often than most others. Often we spend too much time and effort in making things appear nice when they actually are not. I prefer keeping it a wee bit basic and closer to reality, which unfortunately borders on being loud. But reality was always that way - loud and glaring!
Far too often in our attempt in being polite we've missed out on the point. Out of politeness, Alexander headed back home at the behest of his mother and died on the way back. He could have gone on to conquer the world as far as the Persian empire. Out of an urge to be nice, Hector didnt send back Helen to Troy and history saw one of the bloodiest battles. Out of a sense of righteousness, the BJP, in the recent polls, projected Advani as the Prime Ministerial candidate and suffered its most humiliating defeat
I prefer to talk straight..and thats not vanity..so certainly,no apologies!
